Wow, it's Memorial weekend already!!?
I spent the 1st 3 days of this week stuck in the hell-hole that's North Shore mining in Silver Bay, Mn. That place is the filthest of all the mines ive been in!!
3 days of 17 plus hours of work, and much much to little sleep!!
I had to spray a tank with 155 Urethane, and trust me when I say it wasn't fun!!
I guess the only thing that was good was i worked with Jim U. and Bill A.
I'd work with those two gentlemen any time any where!!!
So Cindi and I were talking about taking the kids to the "Lost 40" about a two hour drive northwest of Hibbing. I've been there plenty of times in my younger days, but back in those days up at the 40..... I was not in my right mind, if ya know what I mean!! ;) ;)
Can you say the perfect booze cruise???
If you've never been, this area will blow your mind, with trees that 3 grown men can not put their arms around!! It's a cool site in the middle of the sticks!! A plotting mistake, lead this area to not be logged, and that's a cool thing!!
Well, those plans got nixed when the only motel that allows dogs was booked.
On to plan B, grabbing the boat and head to Lake Vermilion!!
Here's hoping everyone has a peaceful and awesome long weekend!!
Peace............

First was the parade at 9 a.m.
you gotta love a parade, and Cindi and i can eat all the good candy the kids get!!! LOL
after the parade we headed over to the local park to take in the hand-made wares, and food!! did i say FOOD? yum yum yum!!!!
ft. long wild rice sausage, porketta sandwhich, kettle corn, shaved ice, along with plenty more. damn i gotta work more overtime!!LOL
in the a.m. we are heading to Ely, Mn. for the day; we're gonna do some geocaching, and biking. should be fun!!
Peace.......................

Looking forward to the Duluth airshow in mid July!!!

The best band of the day!!!
ECB:AKA The Eveleth Clown Band.
i always liked clowns, and these guys and gals have a freaking blast!!

Well, of course they have the Loon!!!
the city of Virginia take him/her out of the lake for the weekend.

The coolest cribbage board I've seen in awhile. if i had a spare $235 it would've been ours. i had to take Cindi away from this quickly!!! LOL

Our Weekend.....
Friday night sometime around midnight, after the 4 hour drive.
not much open at that time of night. lol
the kids would keep looking to the night sky, and asking where did all the stars go??? the best answer i had at the time was, you'll see them again late Sunday night, when we get back home.
i thought that was a pretty good answer for a guy who was up since 4 a.m. the morning before!! LOL
i even squeezed a couple rides in on the Pugsley. :))
one around Burnsville from 4 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. sat. morning.
the other was around the Andover area from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. Sunday morning.
i let Z sleep in each morning since there would be no singletrack riding due to the rains.

Our Saturday began at 9 a.m.
the kids had no idea what to expect. it has been 10 years since either Cindi or i have been to the State Zoo, it did not disappoint as usual.
we started with the outside stuff since rain was expected later in the morning. we made it 3/4's of the walk and then the rains came, which was ok.

this would be the theme of the day, dad walking ahead with the kids, while mom snapped pictures.

It was nice to see Cindi get a chance to really sit and share some times with her family. i found it was nice to get to know this side of Cindi's family a little more.

Zack and Jenna got to play with cousins Jackson and Anice, at Jacksons mommy and daddys new home in Andover, Mn.
